The Logitech G29 and Logitech G920 are racing wheels released by Logitech in July 2015 and October 2015 respectively. The G29 is a PlayStation-specific wheel, while the G920 is a Xbox-specific wheel.
Just like their predecessor, the G27, the wheels has dual-motor, helical gear-driven force feedback system. They were included with a pedal set with 3 spring-loaded, potentiometer-based pedals, with the brake pedal has a rubber stop to simulate progressive braking force. Unlike previous Logitech racing wheel that relies on optical sensor, the G29 and G920 use the hall-effect sensors for accurate and reliable steering position tracking. Optional Logitech G Driving Force Shifter (sold separately) can be connected to the wheel to provide H-pattern gear shift. The G29 and G920 has built-in table clamp and mounting holes, allowing them to be either mounted onto a table or a racing stand.
For compatibility reason, the G29 has a slider switch that allows it to switch between PS3 mode for PlayStation 3, and PS4 mode for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
The wheels are supported in games that incorporate Logitech's steering wheel SDK, but requires Logitech Gaming Software or Logitech GHub to be installed in order to work. In addition, the rev indicator LED on the G29 work on selected games natively, but some requires 3rd-party software to work (See also Support in game).

Use with PC platforms
- MacOS is not supported.
- Steam does not detect the steering wheel, indicating that no controller is connected. However, games run by Steam do detect it, although it will usually be necessary to configure the controls from scratch, and it will be detected as a generic steering wheel, without indicating the respective glyphs of the corresponding version. [1]
Windows
- Windows 10 and Windows 11 detect the G29 wheel as "Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel (PS3)" in PS3 mode or "Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel (PS4)" in PS4 mode, and G920 wheel as "Logitech G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel", but is unusable without additional software.
- Requires Logitech Gaming Software or Logitech GHub installed on the PC to work.
Logitech Gaming Software
- Button inputs and paddle shifters can be reconfigured.
- The steering sensitivity, force feedback strength, center force strength, soft steering locks and pedal sensitivity can be adjusted.
- Support multiple profile on per-game basic and support automatic profile switch upon detection of the game...
- ...but is incapable of detecting Microsoft Store games.
- Being superseded by GHub (See below), with the last release being verison 9.04.49, released on May 25, 2022.
Logitech GHub
- Supersedes Logitech Gaming Software. Required for newer games.
Linux
Oversteer
- Steering Wheel Manager for GNU/Linux
- Allows change emulation mode, change rotation range.
- Combine accelerator/brakes pedals for games that use just one axis.
- Change autocentering force strength.
- Change force feedback gain.
- Supports device configuration profiles.
- Fix system permissions to access all device features.
- Overlay window to display/configure range.
- Use wheel buttons to configure range.
- Allows hardware performance testing.
- Features only for new-lg4ff: Combine accelerator/clutch pedals. Useful for flight simulators. Change global force feedback gain (with new-lg4ff), change each conditional force feedback effect type gain. FFBmeter to monitor FFB clipping using wheel leds or overlay window.
- Requires the G29 to be in PS3 mode to made it work.
Hardware
Expansions
Logitech G Driving Force Shifter for G29 and G920
- H-pattern shifter with 6-speed with a reverse gear.
- Can be clamped to a desk and can be mounted to a racing stand or racing cockpit.
- Inputs can be reconfigured using Logitech's software when the wheel is directly connected to the wheel.
- Has proprietary connector, thus requires 3rd-party converter when used with the wheels outside of Logitech wheels.
Logitech G Pro Racing Pedals
- High-end simulation racing pedals with 3 pedals.
- The pedals are adjustable horizontally.
- The clutch and accel pedals use hall-effect sensor for more accurate positioning detection and long-lasting use compare to potentiometer-based pedals.
- The adjustable rubber-loaded, loadcell brake pedal can supports up to 100kg of loads. User can swap out the rubber pieces to adjust the resistance according to user preference.
- Can connect directly to the PC via USB, but requires GHub to be installed.
- Requires the Logitech G Racing Adapter (See below) to connect to the G29 and G920 via proprietary connector.
Logitech Lap Attachment for Force Feedback Wheels
- Optional accessory for the racing wheel to be used on user's lap...
- ...but it's not stable.
- Was only designed for the Logitech racing wheels prior to the G Pro Racing Wheel.
Logitech RS Shifter & Handbrake
- A two-in-one peripheral that can acts as either a sequential shifter or a handbrake.
- Can be switch between the sequential shifter mode and the handbrake mode via a toggle on the back.
- Can be clamped onto the table, as well as mounted onto the racing cockpit.
- Can connect directly to the PC via USB, but requires GHub to be installed.
- Requires the Logitech G Racing Adapter (See below) to connected to the wheel base via proprietary connector.
Adapters
Logitech G Racing Adapter
- Multi-use adapter that allows cross-generation compatibility with various generation of Logitech's sim racing products.
- Allows G29 and G920 to use either the Logitech G Pro Racing Pedals or the Logitech RS Shifter & Handbrake (But not both), with an additional dial to adjust the braking force on the former.
- Allows a PC to use the G29 and G920's pedals and G Driving Force Shifter on their own by connecting the adapter directly to the PC via USB, but GHub software is required.
Support in games
- Games that incorporate Logitech's Steering Wheel SDK can support the wheel, while also provide force feedback.
- Selected games has native support for the rev indicator LED on the G29. It is possible for non-supported games to provide rev indicator LED support by using 3rd-party wrappers such as Fanaleds.
