Codename: Gordon,[Note 1] also known as Half-Life 2D, is a singleplayer side view platform and shooter game developed by Nuclearvision Entertainment and published by Valve Corporation. Originally developed as a Half-Life 2 fan project, the game was later officially endorsed by Valve.
Codename: Gordon was released for free via Steam on May 17, 2004.[1] The game was set to receive an additional update introducing a second bonus game and several enhancements, but it was cancelled by early 2005.[2][3] The game was removed from the Steam store in 2008 due to cybersquatting of the Nuclearvision web domain embedded in the game's menu screen.
The game is still downloadable from the Steam content servers with commands.
