Issues fixed

Game crashes on launch

This can be caused by incorrect or incompatible DirectShow filters installed or configured on the system.
Disable movie playback[3]
  1. Launch Steam.
  2. Select the game, Right-click on it and select Launch Configuration Tool.
  3. In the configuration tool, enable Disable all movie playback and click Play.
  4. The game should now be playable although movies (intros, anime-style opening, story prologue) will not play.

Game crashes when opening menu in-game

On modern systems the game may crash when the in-game menu is opened. Using LLA to patch the .exe solves the crashing.
Disable movie playback[4]
  1. Download Large Address Aware here
  2. In LLA select yso_win.exe
  3. Enable the Large Address Aware Flag and patch the game
