Issues Unresolved

Save files appear corrupted

Game can display a warning (that can be safely closed and ignored) about corrupt save files whenever the game is started or when going back to the main menu. The cause of this is unknown. Only one corrupted save file will be listed in the load menu as Corrupt Save and attempting to load it will take you to the start of the game. The rest of the save files in the other save slots are fully functional, can still be played and won't get corrupted by this issue. Cause of the issue is currently unknown.

Attempting to delete the listed corrupt save in-game will make the game crash when going back to the main menu. Anyways, after deleting it in-game, it just re-appears again. Deleting the save files in-game or manually, disabling Steam Cloud for this game and deleting steam_autocloud.vdf does not solve the issue. There is currently no known solution.

Issues fixed

Game application doesn't launch or crashes upon starting new game

Add the game's .exe-file to exceptions for ALL antiviruses and/or firewalls running on your system

Green glow and green flickering screen corruption when depth of field is enabled

Unknown if issue also occurs on AMD hardware

Nvidia: update graphics driver to 465.89 or newer
Issue was fixed by Nvidia driver update 465.89 from 30 March, 2021

Workaround: Disable depth of field
Go to the in-game Video (Advanced) menu. Disable Depth of Field.

Workaround: Lock FPS to 30 using in-game options[citation needed]

Textures and shadows flickering on Windows 7

Set the resolution to 1080p or higher[citation needed]
Set the resolution to 1080p or above through the in-game menu. Restart the game. Notes Game needs to be restarted after every resolution change in order to avoid the bug.

Resolution not scaling correctly with non default DPI scaling

Enable "High DPI scaling override"
Go to <path-to-game>. Right click on Sunset.exe. Select the Compatibility tab. Click on Change High DPI Settings. Check High DPI scaling override and select Application.

Stuttering while traversing though the world

Install the game on a HDD instead of a SSD[dubious – discuss]
Issue may be worse on a NVMe drive.

Changes to weapon switching keybinds won't stick

Click on "Apply Changes" to swap the two keybinds.
The keys for Next Weapon and Previous Weapon swap whenever you apply changes to key bindings. Setting the two keybinds to the inverse of what you want will have them set correctly. Notes Any time you make changes to other keybinds, you will need to apply changes, leave the menu, re-enter, and apply changes again to keep these two keybinds set how they are.
