SIE was founded as Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE for short) on November 16, 1993, established by Sony and and its music subsidiary Sony Music Entertainment Japan and is known for their PlayStation video game consoles. In January 2016, the company was renamed to Sony Interactive Entertainment.
During the 1990's to 2000's, SIE was seldom publishing PC ports of console games, but later increase said effort starting in 2016 through its PC-specific PlayStation Mobile publishing arm (later renamed to PlayStation PC in April 2021).
