Information Alternatively, you can change bForceNoMovies=FALSE to bForceNoMovies=TRUE under [FullScreenMovie] but in this case no movies will be played in the game.

Disable partial Texture Streaming[edit]

  2. Search for the lines which includes TEXTUREGROUP and add ,NumStreamedMips=0 before the closing bracket ")"

i.e. before: TEXTUREGROUP_World=(MinLODSize=256,MaxLODSize=2048,LODBias=0,MinMagFilter=Aniso,MipFilter=Point,MipGenSettings=TMGS_SimpleAverage)

After:

Fix black screen on start-up/in general[edit]

Fix Delete the config fileLink

  1. Navigate to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Chivalry Medieval Warfare\UDKGame\Config
  2. Delete udksettings udkengine and udkgame
  3. Verify the Integrity of the Game Cache
    1. Find Chivalry: Medieval Warfare in your Steam Library
    2. Right-click the game name
    3. Select Properties
    4. Navigate to the Local Files tab
    5. Select Verify Integrity of Game Cache...
    6. This may take a while, just wait for it to finish
    7. Once it's done press OK
    8. Launch the game

Fix the issue where weapon-unlocks are not saved over different servers[edit]

Fix Replace "False" with "false" in UDKStats.iniLink

  1. Navigate to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Chivalry Medieval Warfare\UDKGame\Config
  2. Open UDKStats.ini and replace the two bResetStats=False with bResetStats=false. The upper-case 'f' is replaced with a lower-case
  3. Save the file

Launch options[edit]

Notable Launch Options :

  • -resx/-resy : Sets the game resolution e.g. : -resx=1920 -resy=1080 for 1080p
  • -borderless : Starts the game in borderless fullscreen windowed mode.
  • -dx11 : Starts the game in Directx11-mode : dx11 is not officially supported but it allows the use of Anti-aliasing (AA).

Disabling doubletap dodge[edit]

Information Because accidentally doubletap dodging can be devastating to your health.

  2. Search for DoubleClickTime
  3. Change the value to 0.000000

Rebinding the console key[edit]

Information The default key seems to be geared towards US keyboards so if the console isn't working for you for one reason or another try this.

  2. Search for ConsoleKey
  3. Change the value to whatever key you wish it to be (E.g. On my keyboard the key above tab is called "Backslash".)
