- Overall poor performance, a fairly buggy and incomplete release.[1]
General information
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is a singleplayer first-person shooter, action, survival horror, stealth and exploration game in the The Walking Dead series.
The game would release on all current generation platforms at the time to generally unfavorable reviews due to the sluggish controls, rushed plot, and dated graphics; with one reviewer comparing the visual quality to 2005's Call of Duty 2.[2]
At launch, when changing various video settings, the game would crash upon saving and relaunch back to default.[3]
According to SteamDB, the Steam/PC version would become delisted on March 10th, 2016, after a steep discount ($9.99 USD,) and only nearly reaching it's third year of release. This was probably due in part of Activision losing the property's license and the poor reception. The game would be delisted from the Playstation and Xbox soon after.[4]

Run the game at screen refresh rate
- The game may automatically set monitor refresh rate to 60 Hz; this can result in reduced smoothness on a high refresh rate monitor even if GPU render shows a high FPS count.
- If Vsync limits refresh rate to 60 fps on a high refresh rate monitor, this is a sign this issue is occurring.
