Instructions[citation needed]

dgVoodoo 2

Wraps games graphic API calls into DirectX 11, which fixes many issues with modern systems, including overlays, graphical injectors including GPU control panel and resolutions above 2048px in dimensions.
Use dgVoodoo 2[citation needed]
  1. Download newest dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Extract it and place it in a convenient place.
  3. Start dgVoodooSetup.exe and configure it.
  4. Go to DirectX tab and make sure that Disable a passthru to real DirectX is not checked.
  5. Select Virtual 3D Accelerated Card under Videocard and set its RAM to 64 MB or higher.
  6. For windowed mode, make sure that Disable Alt-Enter to toggle screen state is not checked.
  7. Click Apply and OK.
  8. Now go to MS folder in dgVoodoo's folder and copy files D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll.
  9. Go to the <path-to-game>\ and paste the files in there.

120+ FPS
Playing at more than 60 FPS makes many graphical effects disappear (portal, daemon vision etc, lights.)[citation needed]

Keyboard and mouse State Notes
Remapping
In game refers to actions by their name instead of keys. Mapping left Shift and left CTRL key does not work. You have to map the right one, it will allow you to use the left one as well. For example, if you want to sprint with left Shift, then map it to right Shift in the options menu.

Issues unresolved

Black screen after switching 3D accelerator in-game

Run the external settings utility[citation needed]

Issues fixed

Game doesn't start (retail)

Bypass SafeDisc[citation needed]
  1. Copy dplayerx.dll from CD2 to <path-to-game>
  2. Download unSafedisc.
  3. Run it and select <path-to-game>\RUNTIME.ICD
  4. Switch Runtime.exe with testme.exe

Notes

There's still a disc check in place

Incorrect rendering

Use dgVoodoo 2[citation needed]
  1. See essential improvements section.
Run the game in 16-bit Reduced Color Mode[citation needed]
Because all resolutions have 16-bit color only, the game stops working after the first time in most cases. This method is guaranteed to solve this issue and shows the resolution settings properly in the Configuration utility.
Use HeliX666 injector[citation needed]
  1. Extract the files in <path-to-game>.
  2. Run Omikron-AtiFixLoader.exe.

Notes

In the demo version <path-to-game>\Nomad.exe must be renamed to Runtime.exe
Use DxWnd[citation needed]
  1. Download DxWnd
  2. Add a profile for game executable
  3. Tick Flip emulation in DirectX tab.
  4. Tick Clean ZBUFFER @0.0 fix in Direct3D tab.
