HD texture packs has been made by An7hraX and Dragozool. Both require texmod in order to work though.
Video settings fix for Windows 8
There's an annoying compatibility bug in Windows 8 that forces the game to boot on default graphics settings instead of your saved graphics settings every time you launch the game. To fix this, run the Windows compatibility troubleshooter for nfs.exe in the installation folder and disable display scaling on high DPI settings. WARNING: Do not run the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP or Vista as this will negate the display scaling setting.
Lag fix for PCs running Windows 7 or 8
Need For Speed Undercover is a poor console port and suffers from poor frame rate performance on recent Windows versions, even on high-end gaming PCs. To minimize the lags during gameplay, launch RivaTuner, add the game profile, and set the frame rate limit to 30 fps.
