Version differences

The Definitive Version uses a custom made engine, with improved fullscreen support, leaderboards, cloud saves, achievements, new languages and controller support.[1]

(Windows) Machinarium's saves were stored in the Flash cache so will be removed by tools such as CCleaner; disable Flash file deletion to avoid this.[2] However, since the Definitive update, the game no longer runs on Flash.
(Windows) Amanita Design also released their own tool to extract save-files.[3]
This game does not follow the XDG Base Directory Specification on Linux.
