Essential improvements
Skip intro videos
- On very slow machines, some assets might not finish loading on time, causing visual glitches.
Video settings
- Video options can't be change in-game. You must launch the configuration tool to change video settings.
Aspect ratio fix
- Flawless Widescreen, as usual, can hack the game to run on any ratio.
- For ultra-widescreen and multi-monitor setups, it can also center the HUD, which will otherwise be stretched. This doesn't work with lower ratios (e.g. 16:10, 4:3).
- However, this will make the HUD's player markers to not be aligned with the actual racers, and the cursor move slower in the horizontal axis.
Input settings
- Key and controller bindings must be changed in the configuration tool. Inversion and vibration options must be changed in-game.
- Also supports motion controls under Windows 8.

Issues fixed
Stuttering
- Stuttering can be caused by high framerates (>60).
- Turning on V-sync resolves this problem.[2]
Issues unresolved
Missing objects on ATI Radeon HD3000
(also on entry-level Radeon HD4000; mid- and high-end models work fine)
- Some essential objects, such as the water and boost pads, will not render at all, breaking gameplay.
- No single fix for every system.
- This is a driver issue, and not much can be done about it. Any fix is only partial: it'll make transparent objects slightly visible, but the water might still be too hard to see on some levels.
- One possible fix is to open a UAC prompt (e.g. opening a program as admin)[3]. This seems to cause the game's renderer to freeze for a second, partially solving the issue.
- Messing with your display settings (resolution, etc) may help fixing the issue.
