Issues fixed
DirectX 10 issues
DirectX 10 mode is not optimized and when enabled can cause large performance drops on high end computers. Disabling Ambient Occlusion can enable a ~30 FPS performance boost.
Some modern computers running in DirectX 10 mode may experience an issue with the Sun and other light sources being visible through the terrain and solid objects. Activating DirectX 9 mode can resolve this issue.
- To activate DirectX 9 mode, add
-nod3d10
to the launch parameters. You'll lose sun rays and ambient occlusion, but performance is radically better.
Game crashes while playing
Playing the game with keyboard and mouse with a controller connected can cause the game to crash.
