Issues fixed

Screen shows only solid colors, no graphics (Linux)

The Linux version of the game sets its resolution to 1×1 by default, thus breaking the graphics. This can be fixed by explicitly setting the desired resolution.[2] However, due to the Linux version's other bug (for which the only known fix is to run the Windows version instead), and the fact that the Windows and Linux versions' save files are not compatible, players may want to skip the Linux version entirely and use Proton from the beginning.
Set the game resolution using launch options

Use the -screen-width and -screen-height launch options to set the resolution, e.g. -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080.

Run the Windows version with Proton

In the Compatibility tab of the game's Properties window in Steam, enable the "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" option and select a Proton version from the drop-down list.

Impassable black screen at cemetery (Linux)

After encountering Dr. Smile at Neverwood Cemetery in the Linux version of the game, the screen fades to black for a cutscene which never loads, and a force quit is required to close the game.[3][4]
Run the Windows version with Proton

In the Compatibility tab of the game's Properties window in Steam, enable the "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" option and select a Proton version from the drop-down list.
