Ultra-widescreen

Download and use Nicnl's save editor[2][3]
Gameplay relies on FOV. Ultra-wide aspect ratios will affect some puzzles and surprises.[4]
  1. Download the editor.
  2. Launch the editor. It should find the DARQ save file automatically.
    • If it fails to find the save file, drag the save file directly onto the editor icon in Windows Explorer.
  3. Follow the editor instructions and enter the desired resolution width and height. The editor will automatically make a backup of the existing save.
  4. Close the editor window when the message Done! Your new resolution is: [WIDTH]x[HEIGHT] appears.
  5. Launch the game.
  6. If Steam warns of a Cloud Sync Conflict, choose LOCAL FILES.

Issues fixed

Wireless Xbox controllers do not work, or some buttons do not work

Replace <path-to-game>\DARQ_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll[5]
Before continuing, make a backup of <path-to-game>\DARQ_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll.
  1. Download one of the following patched files, depending on which wireless Xbox controller is being used:
  2. Extract Assembly-CSharp.dll from the downloaded zip file to <path-to-game>\DARQ_Data\Managed\.
Unfold Games acknowledged the issue and set to patch it officially in an upcoming update.[5]

Cannot pick up dynamite or other objects in train chapter

Electricity puzzle becomes stuck / does not reset

Reducing the resolution or graphic quality may resolve the issue.[6]

Magnet puzzle becomes stuck

May be due to running the game on a PC below minimum system requirements.[7]

Brightness setting resets each chapter

It is possible to work around this issue by manually adjusting the brightness at the start of each chapter.[8]
