Founded

Parallax Software Corporation is an American video game development company.

Parallax was co-founded by Matthew Toschlog and Mike Kulas on June 14, 1993, and is known for the Descent series of games. Following the success of Descent II, Parallax's founders split into two separate companies in October 1996, with Kulas founding Volition and Toschlog founding Outrage Entertainment.

The company still exists with its original founders, holding the copyright to the Descent series.[2][3]
