Death Stranding Director's Cut | 2022 |
Death Stranding Director's Cut is an open world action-adventure game developed by Kojima Productions and published by 505 Games.
The game is a PC port of the PS5 game of the same name, which itself is a enhanced port of Death Stranding.
Director's Cut was released on March 30, 2022 and replaced the original game on most storefronts. Similar to the original game's PC port, Director's Cut featured 21:9 ultra-widescreen support, DLSS 2.0, FSR 1.0 and 2.0, high frame rates and adjustable graphics options. As it is a port of the PS5 game, support for DualSense's features are added. Crossover contents in the form of quests and items from Valve's Half-Life and Portal series, as well as Cyberpunk 2077, were also retained in this release.
The game received many updates since its release, which added XeSS 1.0 (later updated to 1.1), support for DualSense Edge controller and an ability to use the DualSense's adaptive triggers in wireless connection.

Issues unresolved
Repeated Xbox controller buttons input
- Using an Xbox controller may result in the game registering each button press more than once.[8]
Connect or reconnect the controller after launching the game, not before it[9] |
---|
Enable a Steam Input Xbox controller preset[10] |
---|
|
Issues fixed
TAA enabled on launch
- The game may enable TAA on startup irrespective of the last anti-aliasing setting.
Modify the game executable to force the preferred anti-aliasing method[11] |
---|
|
Corrupted save data
- The game does not allow players to share their save data, displaying a "corrupted data" error.
Modify the game executable to bypass the save data checks[12] |
