Notes

  1. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 Notes regarding Steam Play (Linux) data:
  3. The game uses tracing of rays into a cubemap (with high quality lighting data baked into it) to determine the proper color of the reflection, but also trace into the geometry of the scene to determine cubemap placement. So, software raytracing is only used to improve coloring and placement of cubemaps. Not the actual reflected geometry itself or to build up the reflection itself. Software raytracing for other games often mean non-hardware accelerate ray tracing of things like reflections, which is not the case here.
