Last year, there's a user by the name of Zmansk88 managed to emulate the split screen feature that was cut from the console versions, did you seen that video?

RaTcHeT302 (talkcontribs)

Post the video?

It doesn't really look like a true splitscreen mode, it looks really hacky.

I had already tried something similar with CoD4. Assuming it's the same with WaW, the actual problem for normal people is that you need to launch two times the client.

And I can't remember if it was some kind of license check or something else, you can't have the same executable running twice (I didn't try to make a copy of the original exe and launch it though)

If it's the former case then the lan patch might be somewhat rightful, if it's not (after reading this) it's just a crack to play with forged keys.

Last but not least, I'm not even sure if this could be considered splitscreen, since you are actually running two client, with two different processes, duplicated resources and all.

Said this, personally, I'd support everything to extend the life of the pre-IWnet CoDs

The MW2 multiplayer is so fun.

Ok, every mp is probably fun.

Still, no way I can accept p2p servers with no mod support.
And besides, I hate how starting from that DLCs are no longer free for pc and cost an arm and a leg.

Actually, both Borderlands 1 and 2 lack a split screen coop, so the modder decides to run a third party program that can run two windows of the game in one PC and used LAN for the X window to connect to the server and let the Y window would join into the X's server.

Really? :/

I always assumed that since Split Play was supporting L4D and portal (which have a native splitscreen mode hackable with some commands) something similar was also applying to borderlands..

Well, ok then.
