About this board

Not editable

Pasting "%APPDATA%\Roaming\SpaceEngineers" into the File Explorer gives you an error because %APPDATA% is already the Roaming folder to Windows.

%APPDATA% is the Roaming folder, %LOCALAPPDATA% is the Local folder, etc.

Leaving it as "%APPDATA%\Roaming\SpaceEngineers" not only creates confusion, it is not the notation used on any of the other pages.

You know you can edit that?

Mrwolf202 (talkcontribs)

I did. Someone edited it back. I edited it back again.

I made this post before I edited back again.

  • DX11 high: 20 FPS
  • DX11 low: 23 FPS           30% cpu usage
  • DX9 extreme: 100 FPS    40% cpu usage
  • DX9 normal: 200 FPS     60% cpu usage

Does this even make sense? I know I haven't an uber computer but this is the first time there's something this crazy happening.
EDIT: and the funny part is that 20FPS in dx11 actually felt better (more responsive mainly) than 100 in dx9 :|
Speaking of which, it's actually crazy to play with this last, considering even at highest d3d9 setting, you have no dark (it's just pale gray) and everything has to be redrawn when you look behind

Also, after first launch the game reported <Key xsi:type="xsd:string">RefreshRate</Key> with value 60000 (instead of 60).
The following launch it fell back to 30Hz.
Moreover, tutorial 3 is bugged

EDIT2: oh, and not to mention 3GB (omitting that allocated to the system) is just enough RAM to make the game to plays levels without excessive paging. But I even exceeded 10GB of virtual memory once.
