The Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro is a racing wheel base released by Fanatec on November 21, 2021. It is the PlayStation-compatible counterpart of the CSL DD wheel base.

Many of the features from the CSL DD, including the brushless 5Nm (8Nm with a 180W power adapter) direct-drive force feedback, Fanatec's own QR1 quick release system, and four RJ12 ports, were carried over. However, it is missing an additional USB Type-C port, which was present on the CSL DD. The shaft on the wheel base can be replaced with the QR2 Base-Side shaft, but the quick release on the wheel must also use the QR2 quick release.

At launch, the wheel base was available as part of bundle sets. The base bundle sets includes the wheel base, a Gran Turismo-branded steering wheel designed by Polyphony Digital, the CSL Pedals, either a 90W power adapter (for the wheel base to operate at 5Nm) or a 180W power adapter (for the wheel base to operate at 8Nm) and a CSL DD Table Clamp. The premium bundle set is mostly the same as the 8Nm base bundle sets, but with a CSL Pedal Load Cell Kit added. The standalone wheel base, bundled with the 180W power adapter, was later made available.

On PC, the wheel base is compatible with games that incorporate Fanatec's SDK, but requires the wheel base to be in PC mode and have Fanatec's own driver installed to work. The wheel base's settings can be further adjusted using the wheel base itself, the driver's Fanatec Control Panel software or the Fanalab software. While bundle sets have all the required items to work out of the box, the standalone wheel base set need other Fanatec products (specifically, a steering wheel compatible with QR1 quick release) to be usable. Button layouts vary between equipped steering wheels/hubs.

Issues fixed

My wheel base wasn't detected by the game despite having the driver installed

Some older games doesn't support the wheel base natively. Fanatec do provide the wheel base with a PC Compatibility Mode to workaround this problem.
To switch to PC Compatibility Mode
  1. Press the ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ button on the wheel base to cycle though the compatibility mode until the button is light up in yellow.

Note

By default, the wheel base will turn on in PC Mode (indicated by the ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ lit up in red).
The wheel base will act as a ClubSport V2.5 when set in PC Compatibility Mode.
