Sony Group Corporation, commonly known as Sony, is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation.

Sony was founded as Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo, Ltd. on May 7, 1946, and was later renamed to Sony Corporation in 1958. In 1993, Sony entered the video game market with the establishment of its subsidiary Sony Interactive Entertainment (Then-Sony Computer Entertainment), but seldom publishing games for PC until late 2016. The company was renamed to Sony Group Corporation on April 1, 2021.

Starting in 2022, Sony started manufacturing PC-gaming-specific gears such as monitors and headsets under the INZONE brand.
