Skip intro videos

Skip Intro
Go to the <path-to-game>\MOVIES. Rename or remove INTRO.TGQ and ENG.TGQ Save your changes. The game will now go directly to the main menu when launched. Notes: Rename or remove GER.TGQ for the German version.

Dark Omen Mod Pack

Makes the game playable on Windows 32bit & 64bit XP/Vista/Win7/8/10. Enables 3d hardware renderer, allows mod selection from the main menu, adds infinite zoom-out, fixes colored cursor crash and prevents dead bodies from disappearing.

Mod Pack Installation
Select maximum installation when installing Dark Omen. Make backup of your <path-to-game>\PRG_ENG folder. Copy the Movies folder from your Dark Omen Cd and paste it into the main Dark Omen folder. Download the Modpack. Unpack and override armytmp,Mods,PRG_ENG in your Dark Omen folder.

Full 3D mode Fix for modern Windows

Install Dark Omen with a Full Installation as administrator. Download this file and place it in the installation folder folder and overwrite everything Right-click the EngRel 3d Fix &Extreme Camera zoom & Overhead Map.exe file in <path-to-game>\PRG_ENG and select properties, then select the 'Compatibility' tab and select 'Run in 640x480 screen resolution and 'Run in 16-bit Colors'. Also set compatibility to Windows 98. Run the game using the EngRel 3d Fix &Extreme Camera zoom & Overhead Map.exe file Notes On Windows XP through 7, 16-bit color mode is not a setting in the compatibility tab, so before starting the game right-click the desktop, select screen resolution then 'Advanced Settings'. Then on the 'Monitor' tab change the colour settings to 16-bit and select 'Apply' All visual settings can be turned on except for Colored Cursors. That setting will crash the game. The tutorial will seem like it doesn't recognize the camera movement at first, but keep doing it for a few minutes and the tutorial will move on.

Colored cursor fix

Made obsolete by Dark Omen Mod Pack.

Colored Cursors Fix[citation needed]
Download these files (link broken) Copy files to <path-to-game>\Graphics\Cursors and replace all files Notes Make sure the colored cursors are 'off' in the graphics menu, as that settings crashes the game. This is a workaround of that crash that enables the colored cursors to work.
