Widescreen resolution

Retail and GOG.com versions do not natively support widescreen. There are two workarounds.
Download a fixed .exe from WSGF[citation needed]
  1. Download the modified executable archive from Nexus Mods (formerly on WSGF).
  2. Paste and overwrite the .exe corresponding to the desired resolution into the installation folder.
  3. The game will now play in widescreen.
Edit config.lua manually[citation needed]
  1. Go to the installation folder.
  2. Edit config.lua.
  3. Locate the section Graphic =
  4. At the end of the section add two entries:
    • WindowWidth = *your window width*,
    • WindowHeight = *your window height*,
  5. Save the file and exit.
  6. Run SpellForce.exe as administrator.
This fix may cause a series of graphical errors.[citation needed]
