Key points
- Updated re-release of Sonic Adventure DX (2011) with more graphical options and fixes.
- Missing all unlockable Game Gear games from the GameCube and 2004 PC versions; use SADX Mod Installer to downgrade the game to the 2004 version.
- Aspect-ratio is locked to pillarboxed 4:3; use SADX Mod Installer for true widescreen support.
- This version may occasionally cap the frame rate at about —40 FPS instead of 60 FPS; SADX Mod Installer may help.

Steam | DRM-free if Steam is not installed or by creating a steam_appid.txt file containing its Steam ID number 71250 in <path-to-game>.[1] |
- All versions require Steam DRM.
- A faithful higher resolution desktop icon can be downloaded from the Files section.
Essential improvements
SADX Mod Installer
- Allows options to set resolutions, frame rate settings, HUD scaling etc. before installation (in Custom Mode), and auto-detects desktop resolution.
- Has multiple mod presets (Dreamcast, Enhanced SADX, Minimal), a Guide Mode for selecting individual mods to install, and a Custom Mode for full customization.
- Downgrades the game to the 2004 port. Most of the new tweaks from the 2011 and Steam ports are removed/rendered inaccessible for this reason.
- Supports the 2004 PC version, the 2011 Dreamcast Collection version, and the 2014 Steam version of the game, and can also be installed over BetterSADX.
- A list of additional recommended mods can be found here.

Issues fixed
Low frame rate
- If the frame rate is stuck around —40 FPS and won't rise to 60, disable the in-game FXAA and Vsync and instead force them through the Nvidia/Radeon control panel instead.[4] Alternatively, if forcing Vsync and FXAA via video card control panel does not fix the issue, downgrade the game to the 2004 port and patch it with mods via SADX Mod Installer.[5]
