Scarface: The World Is Yours is a singleplayer third-person action, open world and shooter game.
The PC port is missing the effects that cause windshields on cars to look broken on the console versions; the windshield is now either fully intact or totally destroyed. Blood effects on clothing and skin from the PlayStation 2 version is also missing.[1][2]
Graphics are corrupted on modern versions of Windows. See Corrupted graphics on modern systems.

Use SilentPatch to introduce widescreen resolution support[12][13]
|
- Install SilentPatch.
- Start the game and most common resolutions should be available now in the in-game graphics menu.
Notes
- In case of boot issues or desired resolution not being available in-game, set custom resolution in
<path-to-game>\settings.ini instead by adjusting the ScreenHeight and ScreenHeight (create these values if they don't exist yet) to the desired resolution.
|
Set FOV through SilentPatch[14]
|
- Install SilentPatch.
- Start the game once for the settings file to be created.
- Set custom FOV in
<path-to-game>\settings.ini by adjusting the FOV value (create the value if it does not exist yet) to the desired FOV value.
|
Input
- XInput triggers can't be assigned to actions by default.
Use XInput to DInput translator[15]

Issues unresolved
Controls reset after dying[citation needed]
Red box on the startup screen, not finding saved game profile
This can occur on modern systems sporadically even with all the patches and fixes installed.
Running the scarface.exe in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 helped solve this issue.*[16]

Issues fixed
Corrupted graphics on modern systems
Low frame rate
Very slow in-game mouse-movement
- Negative mouse acceleration is forced in-game and can't be disabled. It gets significantly worse the higher your mouse polling rate is high or DPI is low. It can cause very slow mouse-movement in-game, making it hard to accurately aim with your weapon.[17]
Use SilentPatch and set camera speed multiplier[18]
|
- Install SilentPatch.
- Set
CameraSpeedMultiplier value (create this value if they don't exist yet) in <path-to-game>\settings.ini to the desired float value.[18].
|
Workaround: Lower the mouse's polling rate through hardware or software options to a lower value like 125hz[20]
|
- Option not available for all mice.
|
Workaround: Set mouse DPI very high to a value like 12000 through hardware or software options[21]
|
- Option not available for all mice.
|
Run the game at screen refresh rate
- The game defaults to a 60 Hz refresh rate. Enforcing a 60 FPS cap is still recommended.
Override refresh rate set by game[22]
|
- Download and extract dgVoodoo 2.
- Copy
D3D9.dll from the MS\x86\ folder to the game folder.
- Run dgVoodoo, and add the game folder to the list.
- Enable the Enumerate refresh rates option.
- Go to the DirectX tab, and set the desired resolution (e.g. 1920x1080, 119Hz).
- (Optional) Disable the dgVoodoo Watermark option to prevent the dgVoodoo logo from showing on game launch.
- Click OK to apply changes.

- Fixes gamepad support and very slow in-game mouse-movement, while adding several optional features like windowed mode, modern gamepad control scheme, FPS limit and skippable intro videos.
Install Fusion Fix[8]
|
- Install SilentPatch (includes ASI Loader this mod depends on).
- Download and extract the Scarface Fusion Fix archive to
<path-to-game> .
d3d9.dll and d3d9.ini are optional as they are part of a d3d9 wrapper, which only allows to set an FPS limit, show performance metrics and allow for windowed and borderless windowed modes in d3d9.ini . All other files are responsible for the other fixes and should always be extracted.
