Version Differences

The European version originally had children removed from the game, although there are patches available to re-implement them into the game. Although the Steam and GoG versions include children.


Patches

There are numerous patches for Fallout 2, and most complete patch is a fan-made Restoration patch, which implements many new features. Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2


Issues And Fixes

Some users running Windows 7 report a "rainbow color" glitch, if you are experiencing this glitch, follow these steps to solve the problem. 1. Right click on your desktop, click "Screen resolution"\ 2. Open "Advanced Settings" 3. Leave this open, and run the game. If this method does not work, you can either download the Fallout 2 restoration project, or a high-resolution patch to change the resolution, which should fix the problem.


Multimonitor Support

Fallout 2 does not provide Multi-monitor support.
