There are a number of mods available that add new content. However, most are only available in German language. Kaltensteins Schatten is by far the largest and most polished player-made expansion. For a complete list see here.
- If you use the Steam version of Phileasson's secret, you need to first edit the Registry to correctly install the mods for Phileasson's secret. Use regedit, got to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\DTP\Drakensang_TRoTand add a string named version_addon with value 1.11.[10]

This mod adds new faces and body types to character creation. Mod installation UI is in German, but should work with any game version. Download Charakteroptik Mod.

This unlocks items in the game that were limited to pre-order or otherwise special editions of the game. You can get the items by visiting the courier at the Nadoret harbour.
- All those items together might make a character overpowered in the early game.
