It is based on the Dragon Ball manga and anime series and is the fifth overall installment in the Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi series, also known as Dragon Ball: Sparking! in Japan.
It was first teased during the 2nd day of Dragon Ball Games Power Hour 2023 event on March 5, 2023, before being announced during The Game Awards 2023 show on December 7, 2023.[1][2]
