Key points

Uses standard Bluetooth for wireless communication.
Even though lacking XInput, some games do offer native support for the controller without any extra software necessary.

Windows

The controller works natively as a DirectInput controller; use DS4Windows to add XInput compatibility.
You may want to enable the option "Hide DS4 Controller" so that some games don't detect two controllers at once, as well as "Start Minimized".

Using wirelessly

Works same way with both wired and wireless modes and uses standard bluetooth for wireless mode.
Instructions

Supported Games

While most games require XInput, some games have native support for DirectInput and the DualShock 4. These include:
* = No Dualshock button prompts.

Other information

Worn analog sticks are a known issue and Sony should've changed rubber material for new controllers.[3] If the controller is still under warranty contact Sony or the retailer for replacement instructions.[4] Worn sticks can also be replaced manually (follow this guide).
