Warnings

This game requires a constant internet connection for all game modes.

Battleborn is a singleplayer and multiplayer first-person FPS game.

Servers were shut down on January 31, 2021 (delisted on June 10, 2022), making the game unplayable^[2] The Battleborn Reborn project exists to allow the game to be accessed through a community server.

All versions require Steam and Arxan Anti-Tamper DRM and a constant internet connection for all game modes.^[3]

Pulled from sale on Steam, but the Free Trial version can still be installed with steam://install/394230

Version differences

Free Trial grants unlimited access (no time limits or level caps) to the multiplayer of the game, with weekly rotations of the 30 available heroes.

Standard Edition / Full Game Upgrade includes the story mode of the game.

Deluxe Edition contained additional bonus cosmetic items.

Go to `<path-to-game>\PoplarGame\Movies` Delete or rename `2K_logo.bk2` and `Gearbox_logo.bk2`.

Manual fix
Go to `%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\PoplarGame\Config`. Open `PoplarEngine.ini`. Find: StartupMovies=2K_logo StartupMovies=Gearbox_logo StartupMovies=Loading Replace it with: ;StartupMovies=2K_logo ;StartupMovies=Gearbox_logo ;StartupMovies=Loading Save the changes.

Skip splash screen

Run the game with the `-nosplash` command line argument.

Delete or rename the splash file
Go to `<path-to-game>\PoplarGame\Splash\PC`. Delete or rename `Splash.bmp`.
