Short freezing when killing an enemy/talking to NPC
On occasion, the game may try to connect with some Ubisoft servers, which could be down. This will result on choppy audio in-game. Two solutions exist:

Controller doesn't work correctly
- Assassin's Creed (and Assassin's Creed II) have problems with button mapping and recognition. Use x360ce.

Game always runs in Windowed Mode
By default, the game should run in fullscreen mode. However, occasionally, the game forces itself into windowed mode, and, as there is no fullscreen mode available in the options section. To run the game (or any game, rather) in fullscreen mode instead of windowed mode, press Alt+↵ Enter. You can also set the command -fullscreen
on the desktop shortcut to toggle full screen automatically. (Example: "C:\Programs Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Assassins Creed\AssassinsCreed.exe" -fullscreen
)
Conflict with nVidia Geforce 306.23 Drivers
A conflict with the 306.23 NVIDIA drivers causes a crash-to-desktop when the game transitions from the introduction videos to the main menu. This can be fixed by rolling back to the 301.42 driver instead (or updating to the latest drivers).
