Key points
- This is a re-release of the 1998 PC port of the PlayStation version.
- Updated with compatibility with modern operating systems along with additional new features:[1]
- Character Booster, which increases HP, MP and Gil levels to maximum.
- Cloud save game functionality (but no Steam cloud support).
- Online profile and achievements.
- Slightly better models with more polygons (togglable).
- Little noticeable difference from the original Final Fantasy VII PC release.[2]
- Excluding menu screens the frame rate is capped at 30 FPS (15 FPS during combat and FMVs).[3]
