The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors[Note 1] is an expanded remake of the beat 'em up game The Ninja Warriors,[Note 2] itself a reimagining of the 1987 arcade game, released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. It is the second modern revival by NatsumeAtari's Tengo Project, the same three-person core team that developed the original game over twenty years ago, following Wild Guns Reloaded and preceding Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.
The game was first released in Japan and Asia on July 24, 2019 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and later worldwide on October 15 through ININ Games.
The Windows version was announced on July 10, 2023 and is scheduled to be released on July 24, exactly four years after the original console launch and five months after the PC release of Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.
