Video settings

Graphics settings are limited to presets (Min, Medium, Maximum, and Ultra).

Widescreen resolution

2560x1440 (1440p) as well as many non-16:9 resolutions are not listed and will have to be set manually.
Instructions[1]
  1. Right-click on the game in your Steam library and select Properties.
  2. Click Set Launch Options.. then add: -fullscreen and click OK.

Notes

It will set the game to use whatever the desktop resolution is set to.
Instructions[2][3]
  1. Follow the instructions to Extract data and Extract gamedata otherwise this will not work.
  2. Go to the installation folder.
  3. Create a new file called user.cfg and open it with your text editor of choice.
  4. At the top of the file add and change to your desired resolution:
r_Fullscreen=1
r_Width=800
r_Height=600

Notes

This method will allow you to manually select whichever resolution you desire.

Correcting refresh rate

Reset monitor refresh rate away from 24hz[citation needed]
  1. If your monitor has a manual frame rate select button, toggle it to reach your desired refresh rate.
  2. Otherwise, set the game to window mode, then set it back to fullscreen mode.

Issues fixed

Flickering shadows above 1080p resolution

Shadows may flicker across the entire screen when running the game above 1080p resolution.
Switch the game to 1080p then back to 2160p
  1. In the graphics options, switch the game to 1920 x 1080 resolution.
  2. After the screen refresh, switch the game back to 3840 x 2160 resolution.
  3. The flickering shadows issue should now be resolved.
  4. Unfortunately, this solution can only be used for 2160p, not custom resolutions like 1440p that have to be enabled using the widescreen resolution fix.
