  1. Disable Steam Cloud via game properties in the Steam library.
  2. Locate and delete steam_autocloud.vdf located in %APPDATA%\IO Interactive\Freedom Fighters\Profiles\.

Poor UI scaling

Configure dgVoodoo 2[8]
  1. Install dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 8, including the optional step.
  2. Open dgVoodooCpl.exe to launch the dgVoodoo 2 Control Panel.
  3. Click on the DirectX tab.
  4. Set the Resolution property to the desired rendering resolution.
  5. (Optional) Disable watermark by unchecking dgVoodoo 2 Watermark checkbox.
  6. Click Apply and close the dgVoodoo 2 Control Panel.
  7. Launch the game.
  8. When the launcher window appears, click on Options.
  9. Set the Resolution property to the desired value. This will be used to render the HUD/UI. 1080p is optimal for 4K displays.
  10. Click on the Save button, and launch the game as usual.
