Two demos were made for the game (download): one of them has a single mission not in the main game, while the other has three unique missions that show the events leading up to the beginning of the main game. The one-mission version reports itself as 'version D1.01', while the three-mission version identifies as 'version D2.00'.
Essential improvements
Patches
Last patch release is V1.09. The GOG.com release is already patched.
Map Editor
Terra Nova World Editor allows creating your own landscapes for the game. heightmaps are also available.
Fix Cutscenes
If the GOG version (and Steam?) is missing briefings check here:
[installed path]\GOG Games\Terra Nova Strike Force Centauri\
- load the subfolder \TN\ - load the file TN.cfg in notepad - change all mentions of c:\tnnova to c:\tn (note the game data folder is named 'TN' not 'TNNOVA' like the cfg thought)
now, load the iso from \Terra Nova Strike Force Centauri\CD\TNF108.cue using whatever ISO mounter/loader you want (e.g. WinCDEmu) go to it, and copy over the MOVIE folder into the \TN\ folder.
Terra Nova can now find the movies and play briefings. [Tested 10/31/2020.]

Notes
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 File/folder structure within the installation folder reflects the path(s) listed for DOS game data. For the GOG.com release, file changes in DOSBox are redirected to
<path-to-game>/cloud_saves/
even if GOG Galaxy is not used (this folder contains all redirected files, so some files in thecloud_saves
folder might be temporary files or other files that do not contain saves or settings).
