Small window in bottom left/Screen freezing

On computers that are on the lower-end of the hardware spectrum, a small window may appear in the bottom left corner of your window and the rest of the screen will freeze.
Turn off shaders and lower graphics settings[1]
  1. In the settings, turn off shaders and again try to play the game.
  2. If this doesn't fix the problem you should lower the graphics settings, this should fix the problem completely.

Missing in-game models

If characters are or have disappeared in the game, you likely have this problem.[2]
Turn off shaders and lower graphics settings[3]
  1. Once you've opened the game, open the console (with either ~ or /).
  2. Enter /gpuskel 0 into the console, this should fix the problem. If it does not fix the problem, try updating your graphics drivers.
