Portal is a first person puzzle platformer game, developed by Valve and released in 2007.

Troubleshooting

Game crashes after seeing or going through a portal:

Make sure you are running Portal in DirectX 9 or higher. Trying to run the game in DirectX 8.1 will cause the game to crash when a portal appears.
