  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open config.cfg.
  3. Change r_fullscreen_refreshes "50000/1000" to:
  • r_fullscreen_refreshes "60000/1000" - For 60 Hz
  • r_fullscreen_refreshes "1200000/1000" - For 120 Hz
  • r_fullscreen_refreshes "1440000/1000" - For 144 Hz

Cap framerate to 120 FPS or less. The cap must be set lower than (and not equal to) the maximum refresh rate of the display, and no higher than 120 fps.
