GOG version lacks the last two patches released on Steam, an unofficial patch is available on Nexus[1], though it may not fix all the bugs[2]. The online pawn system is bugged and players may not receive their rewards[3]. |

Fan translation, download. |
- The project fulfills the wishes of those fans who wanted to hear the original Japanese voices in the game instead of English dubbing. The authors converted the original lines from the console edition released in Japan and converted them to PC version of the game.

Issues fixed
Low audio volume
Enable surround sound[7][citation needed]
|
Use surround sound, either natively or through software (Razer Surround works fine).
Notes
- Approximates surround sound without actual 5.1/7.1 hardware.
- Virtualization is limited to discrete positions. Requires headphones and 3rd-party software. Lacks low tone range without specialized headphones.
|
Enable Loudness Equalization[citation needed]
|
Enabling Loudness Equalization under Enhancements in Speaker Properties alleviates this issue for users without headsets or users streaming through Steam Link.
Notes
- Requires no specific hardware or 3rd-party software.
- The volume contrast finesse will be lost. Far warcries, close explosions — all will sound blandly same.
|
Use Erquint's DDDA Sound Hack[citation needed]
|
The thread at Steam Guides explains how it works and has a download link.
Notes
- Sound quality after the game loads user settings is untouched. Requires no specific hardware.
- Requires 3rd-party software tampering with the game itself. Some clipping on the title screen.
|
Black Screen on start-up
Delete config.ini[citation needed]
|
- Go to the configuration files location.
- Delete
config.ini .
Notes
- May be caused by v-sync[citation needed]
|
Micro-stuttering when the framerate is capped at 60 FPS
Change the framerate cap to 30 FPS in the options menu
- May not be a desirable option for anyone wishing to play at a framerate higher than the console versions.
|
Set the FPS limit to 60 in third-party program, like Rivatuner Statistic Server or NVIDIA Control Panel

Cut Content: Original Theme song
The Dark Arisen expansion removed the awesome original theme song and replaced it with a new one. You can bring back the original song by either downloading this mod from Nexus Mods (restores the original song which then seques into the one normally played in Dark Arisen, like in the original console release) or by following the steps on this Reddit thread (completely replaces Dark Arisen song with the original one).
