DDDA Japanese VoiceOver Project

The project fulfills the wishes of those fans who wanted to hear the original Japanese voices in the game instead of English dubbing. The authors converted the original lines from the console edition released in Japan and converted them to PC version of the game.

Low audio volume

Enable surround sound[7][citation needed]

Use surround sound, either natively or through software (Razer Surround works fine).

Notes

Approximates surround sound without actual 5.1/7.1 hardware.
Virtualization is limited to discrete positions. Requires headphones and 3rd-party software. Lacks low tone range without specialized headphones.
Enable Loudness Equalization[citation needed]

Enabling Loudness Equalization under Enhancements in Speaker Properties alleviates this issue for users without headsets or users streaming through Steam Link.

  2. Extract the folder and go to the x32 folder
  3. Place the d3d9.DDL where the DDDA.exe is located

Other information

Original theme song

The original console release of Dragon's Dogma featured a different theme song, "Into Free -Dangan-", performed by Japanese rock duo B'z and licensed by Vermillion Records. This license was not renewed for Dark Arisen and was subsequently replaced with an original music track, "Eternal Return", sung by Aubrey Ashburn.
Replace Dark Arisen theme with "Into Free -Dangan-" with one of the following options
  • Use Combined Intro Music Mod
    • Restores the original theme, which then segues into the one normally played in Dark Arisen, like in the original console release.
  • Follow the steps on this Reddit thread
    • Completely replaces "Eternal Return" with "Into Free -Dangan-".

Berserk Equipment Restoration

The original console release of Dragon's Dogma had armor based on the Manga Berserk which was removed from the PC version. Use this mod to restore it.
Add in Berserk Equipment from original console release
  • Use Berserk Equipment Restored Mod
    • Restores various Equipment in exactly the same way as the original release.
      • Do not dispatch pawns wearing this equipment as they will be missing gear if another player doesn't have the mod installed.
