Essential improvements

Improve performances in DOSBox

Edit DOSBox configuration file
  1. Set machine=svga_s3 to machine=tandy or pcjr.
  2. Set memsize=16 to memsize=00.
  3. Set xms, ems and umb to false.
  4. Set cycles=auto to cycles=100.
Exact cycle amount may vary from computer to computer. For more info see 4.77 MHz, DOSBox wiki.

Game data

Configuration file(s) location

System Location
DOS <path-to-game>\ctrls

Save game data location

System Location
DOS <path-to-game>\CASTLE
<path-to-game>\CW.EXE
CASTLE contains rank & castle progress.
CW.EXE contains inventory and map location.
Pressing Esc returns you to the main menu and saves your inventory and location. Terminating the game process while playing will reset both data (similar to being caught or dying). Rank and castle are not affected by this.
