Chromatic Aberration

On certain levels the game features heavy chromatic aberration fringing on the edges of the screen, currently with no in-game option for disabling it.
Ubisoft has released a patch (v1.0.5) with an option to enable or disable it. It is disabled by default. [1]
Modify the game executable to disable chromatic aberration[2]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>
  2. Make a backup copy of ACMirage.exe or ACMirage_plus.exe, depending on whether you're playing via Ubisoft+ subscription.
  3. Open the original ACMirage.exe / ACMirage_plus.exe in a hex editor, such as HxD.
  4. Search for 80 79 32 00 75 4E, and replace with 80 79 32 01 75 4E (just changing the 00 to 01)
    • When finding and replacing these hex values, make sure that the find/replace tools are using "Hex-values" mode, and search direction (if using HxD) is set to All (Forward and Backward).
  5. Save the modified EXE.

Notes

It's not currently known whether this patch may affect more than just CA, possibly may also disable other post-processing effects too.
An alternate Cheat Engine trainer to disable CA can be found on NexusMods, though is reported to only work on the non-Ubisoft+ version of the game.

Anti-aliasing (AA)

Disable TAA
  1. Download the latest version of fixes.
  2. Copy ACMirage.NoTAA/ACMirage.NoTAA.asi and winmn.dll to the game’s directory.
  3. The game can now be launched regularly from its executable. Upon startup, a configuration file ACMirage.NoTAA.asi will be created, and can be used to enable TAA again.

Reduce NPC model pop-in

NPC models visibly pop-in when approaching them with no option in-game for adjusting their LOD distances.
NPC LOD distances can be increased in the INI file.
Increase character LOD distances via INI file[3]
Ensure that the game is closed to prevent the changes below from being overwritten.
  1. Go to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Assassin's Creed Mirage\
  2. Open ACMirage.ini with a text editor (e.g. Notepad++)
  3. Find Character=
  4. Increase the value as desired (maximum is 4, default is 2)
  5. Save the file, Ctrl+s

Notes

ACMirage.ini may need to be changed to Read Only to prevent the value from resetting.

Hex Edit Game Executable
Before editing, make a backup of the ACMirage.exe and ACMirage_plus.exe file in case the modifications go wrong.
  1. Go to <path-to-game>
  2. Open ACMirage.exe (or ACMirage_plus.exe for Ubisoft+ users) with a HexEditor (HxD)
  3. Press Ctrl+R
  4. Select Hex Values tab
  5. Select Search direction All
  6. Search for 39 8E E3 3F
  7. Replace all with the value for your resolution
  8. Save the file, Ctrl+S

Bloom

Disable Bloom[4]
Ensure that the game is closed to prevent the changes below from being overwritten.
  1. Go to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Assassin's Creed Mirage\
  2. Open ACMirage.ini with a text editor (e.g. Notepad++)
  3. Change Bloom=1 to Bloom=0
  4. Save the file, Ctrl+S

Notes

This edit may help reduce chromatic aberration but will not entirely disable it.
ACMirage.ini may need to be changed to Read Only to prevent Bloom setting from re-enabling.
