PokeMMO is a free fan-made MMO version of Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen, Pokémon Emerald, Pokémon Platinum and Pokémon Black/White.
An original copy of Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version is required while Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen, Pokémon Emerald, and Pokémon Platinum are optional. Every game adds its relative region and storyline to the overall experience. Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver can also be added for additional visual effects.
The first prototype stage went public in April~June 2012. A more stable and complete version launched in August 2012 and the initial playerbase started filtering in.
