|introduction      = '''''REDRIVER2''''' is an unofficial port of the Playstation 1 version of Driver 2 with native support for widescreen & 4K. Driver 2 is an open world car chase game. It is a cop drama style after 70s cop movies like the previous games. Driver 2 was released in the year 2000 on PS1 with a condensed Gameboy Advance port in 2002; the game was known for having technical issues in performance and low draw distance to the point that the director later said that they should have made it a PS2 game instead. The game stands out for being the only main entry in the series to have never gotten an official PC port. The performance issues have been resolved in this port and the draw distance has been improved.

REDRIVER2 is an unofficial port of the Playstation 1 version of Driver 2 with native support for widescreen & 4K.

The fan port started being developed on March 28th, 2019[1] and used an Italian version of the game with debug terms present to reverse engineer the game.[2]
