The Shell Part I: Inferno is a 2023 remaster of the 2008 single player visual novel game Kara no Shoujo. It is the first game in the Kara no Shoujo series. The 2023 version includes several new gameplay and Quality of Life additions compared to the original 2011 English release by MangaGamer, including HD Artwork, widescreen resolutions, a new re-worked English translation and a more forgiving difficulty level. The 2023 release is based on the 2019 HD Release of the game.

Missing Content Patch for Steam release
- The Steam release only includes certain parts of the full game due to the publisher removing them to pass the Steam review process to allow the game on the store. A patch to add the removed content is available in the publisher's website (18+ website).
