Version differences
- Stronghold 2 Deluxe is the 2005 re-release with 3 exclusive AI lords, a new skirmish trail mode, and exclusive maps.
- Stronghold 2: Steam Edition is the 2017 enhanced release with Steamworks multiplayer, Workshop integration, an exclusive map pack, widescreen support, and some redone graphics.
