Version differences
- Stronghold Legends: Steam Edition is the 2016 enhanced release with Steamworks multiplayer, Workshop integration, an exclusive map pack, widescreen support, and some redone graphics.

- The newest patch for the non-Steam version is 1.2. Patches for the game can be found here.
- The Steam version received a special patch and shows version 1.3 Steam.
