Issues and fixes
Custom Screen Resolutions
The game appears to support modern screen resolutions (including 1080p) by editing an ini file.
- In Windows 7, browse to
%AppData%\Microsoft Games\Rise of Nations
and openrise2.ini
. - Change the number next to
AllowAllResolutions
from "0" to "1". - Launch Rise of Nations, click the "Options & Profiles" button, the "Graphics" tab, the "Resolution" drop-down box, and select your preferred display resolution.
- If the drop-down box does not show your preferred resolution, edit the
Windowed Width
andWindowed Height=
lines inrise2.ini
.
Patching
When patching the game from the main menu an error may occur after the patch has downloaded. To prevent this error, run the game as an Administrator before patching.
