Issues fixed
Ship movement stuck in one direction
- When using a controller, the game re-calibrates directional input at the start of each level. Holding a direction at the beginning of a level can result in this issue.
Force game to recalibrate controller input[citation needed]
|
- Pause the game.
- Select "Rebind Controls" on the pause menu.
- Have all players select "Ready".
- Unpause the game.

Linux build of version 1.0.2 won't run
- The Linux build of version 1.0.2 (the only version still available to those who purchased the game from Humble Bundle) comes with a broken 64-bit executable which crashes with a segmentation fault, while its 32-bit executable requires
libsteam_api.so
which is not included.[5] (The initial Humble Indie Bundle 4 release also had a corrupted 64-bit Linux executable, but this was resolved prior to version 1.0.2 breaking the game again.[6])
Acquire libsteam_api.so and run the 32-bit executable[5]
|
- Find a suitable
libsteam_api.so , e.g. from an installed Steam game with a 32-bit native Linux version.
- If your Steam games are installed under
~/.steam/root/steamapps/common , you can search them for 32-bit libsteam_api.so files with the following command: find ~/.steam/root/steamapps/common -type f -name libsteam_api.so -exec file {} + | grep -oP '^.+libsteam_api\.so(?=:\s+ELF 32-bit)'
- If running the game as described below results in a fatal Steam-related error such as
./Jamestown-x86: symbol lookup error: ./Jamestown-x86: undefined symbol: SteamUserStats , try using a different libsteam_api.so .
- Copy
libsteam_api.so into <path-to-game>/x86 .
- You may also need to remove or rename the included
<path-to-game>/x86/libstdc++.so.6 .[7]
- Open
<path-to-game> in a terminal and run JAMESTOWN_ARCH=x86 ./Jamestown or LD_LIBRARY_PATH=./x86 ./Jamestown-x86 .
